Proving how the universe was born
It's true, the wonder of the universe is only matched by the wonder provoked by the gradual discovery of how it (probably) all happened.
What fascinates me is how so many 'beginning of the world' stories are reflected in what is being discovered. It's a bit like discovering that the present you have been promised is even better in reality than in the advertising.
