Prehistoric relic lurks in the chookyard

No matter how many times I see these titbits about finding out just a little bit more of how we developed as a group of related species on this planet I get all delighted at what a neat puzzle has been set before us. Perhaps one day we will work out how to go to the stars, but this planet in the meantime is still full of things to wonder at and be delighted in.
