Counting Blessings

Oh, did I have a good night last night! My friend and her baby turned up so I got Morgan cuddles. I haven't seen her in a little whiles so Morgan has really grown. It's a shame that babies don't last as babies longer sometimes, but to see how they learn about becoming is just so special and different with each one. Definitely a blessing there.

Then I drove a dear friend home so that I could worship at the shrine of new baby-dom again, because here cat had kittens last week and they are beautiful! And it was quite sweet how MooFoo just lay there purring like a stuck record, with these two cute babes nuzzling at her. Another blessing.

But the most special blessing was that on the way to see the cats, an owl flew across the road in front of the car!
Now I've been driving out to the outer suburbs to visit my parents for a couple of years now, past all these signs that warn about night-flying owls and everything, but I have never seen an owl anywhere out there!
But there I am, driving through one of the oldest inner city suburbs (so okay, it's not that far from Kings Park, an area of semi-wildness in the middle of Perth... but!) and there is a beautiful snowy white owl flying past!

I got this huge grin on my face that hasn't really slipped all day ...

What a wonderful day!
