My goodness what a day!

Today started on a high note, and has not really let me down yet.
I woke up at a useful hour and wandered into the kitchen to make my morning cuppa, when the phone rang. I had had a job interview on Monday, and this morning I was offered the job. I start next Monday working as a librarian in a not-for-profit publishing company based here in Perth. I’ve worked for them before, and really like the idea of what they are doing.

I’m so excited!
In fact, the family was so excited that we decided to indulge ourselves and went to one of our favourite Chinese dim-sum restaurants for lunch. It was fun and delicious and just right as a celebration.

However, I now have to clear my desk and get stuck into the spinning for the afghan I’m making for my sister, and if I am very lucky with my time I might even get some of the beautiful orchid merino and silk sliver spun, that I got last week at the craft show.
This whole spinning thing is really taking on a life of it’s own. The idea that I will be able to spin well enough to make enough yarn to weave something really appeals to me. I’ve also found some information about a small wool processor that may be able to take the fleeces I have and process them into roving ready for me to spin (this reduces the work I would have to do in scouring and carding the wool, leaving me more time to enjoy the spinning of it *G*)

So today has definitely been a good day.
