Happy New Year!!
This is a time travel document from the leading edges of the International Date Line (so it's already nearly five hours old, but I'm still using it before most of you).
I'm just letting you know that this new year looks as if it is going to be quite pleasant, starting out with a nice and warm 30degC day and a slight hangover (don't look now, this pup got slightly sozzled last night and fell off the couch while watching videos - no damage done, but the daughter maintains she has been scarred for life *chuckles evilly*)
Last year was particularly good for me ... had two great jobs and this one seems to have a certain degree of interest happening in it in the coming months, including doing some more formal study even though I had decided I would NEVER go back to school again. *sigh* Obviously I was talking through my hat, again!
My other passions are getting me into "serious trouble" though. This last few days I've been getting my head around the esoterics of warp calculations - which sounds delightfully "star trekish" but is more involved with weaving *bright smile* I am so enjoying this textile hobby that I am almost becoming a bore about it *laughs at self* To the extent that I enjoyed the best early Christmas present to me that I've enjoyed in years (I've always enjoyed process rather than completion). That of sending the afghan I designed, spun and crocheted to my sister by FedEx and having the
fun of tracking it across the world to her front door *BIG! grin*
Today I plan on starting my first warp on my loom ... bring out the warping board!
This year I have decided that I am not going to propose resolutions that I would break in the first week, but am planning on learning new things and new skills. With only two prime goals I think I might just be able to keep them this year!
May your hearts be filled with love, your homes with good friends and your world with everything you desire.
