Collaboration, that's the theme for today. One of the striking things is the way in which unkknown friends walk past and, overhearing a comment about "where's such-and-such", lean over your shoulder and tell you not only where it is, but whether the people on the stand are particularly helpful or interesting or have good 'stuff' to share - and I don't care how old one is, the concept of 'showbag' seems to have the same effect on grownups as it does on not-so-grownups *G*

At dinner last night part of the conversation revolved around the way in which librarians, as a category, tend to a collaborative mode in their business. It was also nice to discover that, contrary to my experience about being a librarian in the agricultural field, I am not the only one. I am probably not the only one person agricultural librarian either, but this was the first time I had experienced collegues in the same field. *g* It was rather nice.
