I receive several of the About.com newsletters at work. They are a handy way to gather information. But every now and then I am completely blown away by the things that are referenced by some of them. This morning there was one on the value of eating breakfast (not something I necessarily disagree with) but a 'lasagna' for breakfast with no sign of pasta?

That is just not 'right'. On some deep level it jars with my sense of 'breakfast' to such an extent that I think I am going to have to experiment ...

*sounds of rummaging through recipes online*

Breakfast cassaroles come under the same heading. Just "wrong"! *laughs* But something to be explored...
Mind you, pork products, eggs and milk seem to feature heavily in most of these recipes. What is it about breakfast that pork sausages or bacon seems a good choice?

Funny how certain foods seem more appropriate to a certain time of day than to another *wondering twinkle*
