Man builds up 30,000 volts of static electricity. 16/09/2005. ABC News Online:
How bizarre! I'm tempted to say how shocking, except that my daughter quite frequently zaps her cat during those dry summer days when all the moisture seems drained from the atmosphere.
But the idea that the chaps jacket is still 'live' is enough to start thoughts about body-based computing and the likely hood of natural fibres generating such static.
Actually, it is a really wonderfully (as in ful of wonder) odd thing to happen! Quite the thing to make me sit up and go "wow, what a world I live in!"
